Go with the Flow

Ok so I will attempt to catch up! We had an amazing time staying at Lake Mead. There is an amazing campground right on the lake. We biked around and even went out with friends on their houseboat. They had a great powerboat as well that we went tubing on. As a mother it feels really scary to send your kids out into the middle of a huge lake and drag them fast behind your boat when you know that they aren't the strongest swimmers! Faith in the life jackets...

the posse on the lake

tubing....xo!
Yes...It's true we found Bedrock!
We headed toward the Grand Canyon after Lake Mead and found Bedrock not far from the South Rim. Of course we had to stay there. Take a look at our photo album on the previous post. This place rocked! It was as run down and kitshy as you would expect but we loved it. All the locals would come and eat at Fred's Diner. I would go back here in a minute. It was certainly a highlight!!!!

The Grand Canyon.

hiking down.....
The Grand Canyon is as majestic as ever. It was the first time the boys had seen it. They were in awe and their eyes as wide as saucers when the first looked at it. People get there!!! If your kids have not seen it. Or if you have not. It is a magical place and very powerful. Kelwin and I made many life decisions while we were there. You can't help but reflect on your life while looking at the power of Mother Nature.
Crystal Hill in Arizona
We headed to Quartzsite, AZ after that on our way back to So. Cal. We were slightly ahead of the thousands of people that descend on that town for the largest flea market in the world I believe. We will go back when the town is in full swing. We met the naked bookseller. No....he's not completely naked..he wears a sock. A true free spirit living the life he wants. We could relate to him. No, we are not going to start roaming the country naked.
uh oh broke again
We headed off to Carlsbad, CA to have Halloween with the cousins. Stopped at WalMart to get some costumes and Dolly broke down...again. We do not have good luck with WalMart parking lots. 2 times broke and both in WalMart parking lots. Oh well...This time it is bad and we have been in Oceanside, CA at a great RV park 2 blocks from the beach for the last month. In the next few days we will be towed up to Los Angeles to get poor Dolly fixed. However that may take a while. If you are in LA we will be there for December more than likely. Most people I tell the story to say," Man that sucks. Your stuck." You know what....we don't feel that way. We feel blessed!!! We knew Dolly would break at some point. Guess what? She broke down somewhere we love at holiday time. We can see our friends!!! I can pick up some wardrobe work and extend our health benefits. It couldn't be better. We are thrilled!!! Who cares how long it takes because we are on an adventure! Isn't life an adventure anyway? We will be on our way when the time is supposed to be. Whatever the plan is we don't pretend to know. We just go with the flow!!! Everywhere we've been we have picked up new team members and shared our love for our business and lifestyle. Life is good. If it weren't for the amazing business model of Network Marketing we would still be in jobs that we hate and living a life of mediocrity and trying to keep up with the status quo. Buck that!!!! Give me our old bus and a broke engine 2 blocks from the beach!

Time Flies!!!

Wow!!!! I can not believe how fast time has flown! It has been over a month since our last post. We have been busy!
Let's see, where do I start?
First, the link below is to our photo album for October...check it out!

Living life out of the box.

We have found a new love.....bicycling. I love it, Kelwin loves it and Asher and Rider think they are professionals. We are able to cover a long distance on a bike. We went our longest ride ever the other day.
We rode from Boulder Beach on the side of Lake Mead on a trail that was an old train track that serviced Hoover Dam. It was really cool and had 5 tunnels that we got to ride through! Anyway we ended up at the Hoover Dam and that was really cool. The trail drops you off at the top of their massive parking lot so after riding about 4 miles we had to walk down about 5 stories in the parking lot and then down to the dam. Which wasn't so bad until we had to walk back up to the parking lot then up the 5 stories then ride the additional 4 miles back. It was great. The boys didn't complain. We have a chant as we ride up the hills..."All I need is within me now." then when it gets tougher..."All the strength I need is in me now." We keep on chanting and it does really help us get up the hills. Incredible how strong the mind is. We do now know we need to get the boys some gear bikes. I always feel bad when I pass them up still riding while their walking their bikes up a steep hill because I have low gears and they have none.
Big Horn Sheep on the Hill

We see alot on our rides and were lucky enough to run into a family of Big Horn Sheep. If you look closely you can see them on top of the hill.

Well I really don't know how to work this thing. You'll have to tell me if the videos that are posted work. Who knows? Rider is turning into quite our documentarian. I'm going to teach him how to write this blog and let him do it. I'm sure he can figure out how to work the site much faster and easier than I! I'm starting to feel frustrated so I am going to keep it short tonight!

Love to all from the Hagen bikers!!!!!!

Wow! What a month! We have been in and out of Las Vegas a few times. We really have had a great time here! We attended our National Convention and that was transformative to say the least. It is so amazing to know that you love what you do and you love the lifestyle that you have!
With Women Icon's of Business Luann Mitchell and Shawna Winn

We were able to spend some real time with some amazing people. We met and were completely inspired by Luann Mitchell. This woman has overcome so many obstacles that normal people would just give up. She has gone on to be named Canada’s number one Female Business Woman for Three Consecutive Years! I hung on her every word. We were also honored to met and to be able to work with Shawna Winn. She has built up many multi million dollar organizations and we are now getting personally mentored by her. Wow! To be able to soak up the wisdom of such powerful but yet the most down to earth people. It's no wonder they are so successful. They lead by example and from their hearts. We can only hope to help so many people in our lifetime.
Rider Moxie turned 8!!! It is so hard to believe. He is growing into an amazing young sir. You know most people dread the teenage years but I am so excited and curious to see who he becomes in this world. I see great things in his future.
Rider is 8!
He is so vibrant, sensitive and smart. Whatever his passion becomes I can only hope he follows his dreams. If I can leave one legacy for my children it would be this. Do what you love. We are modeling this example. Don't settle for a life of mediocrity. Don't settle for the society's status quo. Live a life of design not a life of reaction. These are all philosophies that we believe strongly in. If you don't have a big house or lots of money who cares! But it is true that if you do what you love you will be provided for, the money will follow. Don't let fear rule you. "Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy." Dale Carnegie

The motto that we live by is:" I will do today what others will not so I will live tomorrow like others can not." We are busy and loving it.

I miss you guys....

Hi friends, family and strangers.....
Back in Utah for a quick visit to the folks. We were in Vegas for over  a week and made some new friends and business partners. It really is easy to make friends when you are on the road. I've come to realize that the human race is generally good. Maybe misguided at times but good. People are eager to lend a hand or give a compliment. Maybe it's just the crazy RV'ers or maybe what I am putting out is being reflected back to me. However the friends you make will never replace the friends we left at home. I miss you guys!!! Just a shout out to the ones that have been there all along.
As far as our journey is coming.....we don't know where we will be next. I guess that will sort itself out tomorrow!
Kelwin and I are on Day 4 of our detox and cleanse. That also has something to do with the emotional release! I've dropped 5 pounds of toxic sludge. All sorts of stuff is coming out! I have done some crazy cleanses in my time but this Purify cleanse is by far the easiest and very effective. I feel great and only 3 more days to go.
I'll post more pics over the weekend. Love to you all!!!

Checking in...still in Las Vegas. We had the best day today. You know when the day just flows perfectly? That was today. We had school time in the morning and the kids are just loving the home school lifestyle. Asher really is reading good and loving it. He is understanding the concepts great and Rider is on a classic literature marathon. He just finished the Invisible Man and started Moby Dick. I can't wait until he reads that! It will rock his boat (no pun intended)!
After our school day( about 2 hours) we spent the rest of the day at the pool. Asher really learned to swim today! They are both fish. I had a blast jumping in and out of the pool. While we all this was happening I built our business. Trained some new partners, put people in appointments, got coached, had an amazing team call. Put 4 people on the Fantastic Four Star in Four Weeks program and changed some lives. What a day!! Oh and did I mention I helped some others start a detox and cleanse program that will completely transform their current health?
Anyway I posted some pics to get everyone up to date on our great adventure. We went to Calico Ghost Town outside of Barstow, CA. We had a great time there. If you haven't been they have a great camp ground.  Look at the picture I was totally possessed by this Indian. I look exactly like him...creepy. We completely freaked the kids out reading true ghost stories from Calico. There are some doozies. But the highlight for me is actually seeing a famous ghost. There is the old one room schoolhouse and there are lots of stories of a little girl that hangs out there. I got to see her. I'm getting chills just remembering it. Also while we were there Fuzzy one of our 3 cats (yes we have 1 dog and 3 cats in our bus) got seriously sick. Maybe a ghost cat possession. $2000 later and a week in 24 hour hospital care first in Barstow then in Las Vegas we never did find out what was wrong with him. He is still miraculously with us.

Calico Ghost Town
We have also been to Portland, OR where we had a large event for our business. Dr. Suhas flew in to talk to us about Ayurveda and taking charge of our health and our CEO and founder of our company even Skyped in to talk to us all. It was an amazing event and we were able to be there to support our team. We fell in love with Portland and ended up staying almost 3 weeks. That is the beauty of being on the road. We don't have to be anywhere because we are here. That is true freedom.

New Career for Asher & Rider

Portland has these amazing food lots. They are all over town. Rider and Asher found their favorite truck and made friends with the owner and he put them to work. They are now thinking about a new career. Entrepreneurs at heart!

We also went to the giant volcano. That is truly awe inspiring. We learned alot of geology and gave us a new subject to study. However no cell signal drove us out of there in a few days. Can't leave our team hanging for too long.

Having a blast at Mt. St. Helens, WA
I think we took a wrong turn?!

We never want to stay on the main roads and found something on the map that looked pretty cool. We were crossing Idaho on our way from Oregon over to Utah. The map says its paved ...Let's go. Cruising along at 45 mph we hit washboard dirt road. The whole bus was shaking. It was like a tornado things were falling out of cabinets that were bungied closed. Holy moly everything was on the floor. Well we looked at the map and we had 40 more miles of this.......no where to turn the bus around...here we go. We were out in the middle of nowhere. Us and the cows of Idaho. We did reach our destination. The City of Rocks. It was amazing. It is like Yosemite and Joshua Tree all mixed up. It is one of the top rock climbing destinations in North America. Who knew???  We saw some amazing climber way up on top of these 6 story spires. Wow! However before you go....it is remote and there are only dirt roads. We made it in Dolly so you can too. I said to Kelwin well we will never do that again. He said to me "Yes we will" and you know he is right. We will definitely do crazy nerve wracking things again.
I am still getting the dirt out of Dolly!

City of Rocks, Idaho

I am almost caught up to present day and there are soooo many more stories to tell! Just know that we are having a great time and feel so grateful that we can just take off and do this with our kids. This is the life we dreamed of and we made it a reality. It just shows us that no one has to live a life of struggle. If we can do it anyone can do it. It just takes enough courage to take life by the horns and not settle for what you don't want. Stand up and take charge.

Have you met Dolly?

Dolly with her Buddy the Little Guy.
For those of you who haven't met Dolly...here she is. Dolly is a 1957 silverside bus. She started her career as a Greyhound Bus. We have no idea how many miles shes traveled or where she has been. She is a sweet home for us and has been cooperative for most of the time. Did you hear how we spent 10 hours in a Walmart parking lot? We were being good RV'ers and stopped at Walmart to get some supplies. (YES Walmart...they do now have a large organic selection and are leading the way in environmental issues not only in their stores but demanding less packaging from their vendors, anyway...)

2am in the Walmart parking lot.
Our savior! Get us out of Walmart!
Dolly wouldn't start when we got out and we were camping in Walmart for 10 hours on a Sunday evening in Utah. No one works on Sunday in Utah!! We finally had a giant tow truck tow us to the mechanic where we camped for a day in their parking lot! It was 2am by the time we got to the mechanic and he dropped us off right in the middle of a giant parking lot. When we woke up we were surrounded by cars that had parked around  us. Never mind we pulled out our camp chairs and set up camp in a parking spot!
Well at least when we were in Walmart I trained 2 new team members and got their business started! How cool to be in network marketing!!! We work anywhere and make our living while we are in the middle of adventuring! Isn't this is what life should look like???
Speaking of amazing we just went to our national convention in Las Vegas. More on that amazing transformative weekend later. Asher and Rider loved the strip! Check out Asher in this pic and the sign in the background. I am not sure if he just thought they were hot because at 10pm it was still 96 degrees!
We are still in Las Vegas building our biz and getting some great partners. I must admit I am really liking it here. There is a great exciting energy that I've found here! Plus I love laying by the pool and building the biz! I've moved into a bikini since using the amazing Zrii products. It's been years!!! I love it! Even Rider and Asher say I look like one of the "hot Vegas ladies". Maybe just because I'm sweating!!!
Love to everyone!!!xoxox

Ok....I need to work on my spelling!

Thanks to those who pointed out my utterly abysmal spelling! I really do appreciate it. That is what happens when it is late and there is still too much to do. All that free time we were going to have on the road....I'm still looking for it.
It has been a HUGE adjustment to life on the road. Small spaces with 3 cats, a dog, 2 kids and 2 adults. Those of you who thought "what the hell..." yes it is all true. I haven't had a shower or used the toilet without having a full conversation with 2 kids since we left. A small price to pay for all the other changes that are overcoming our family.
We are tight knit. We are really getting to know each other. We really do love each other and would do anything for each other.  My heart is filled with joy and knowing that we made the right decision when I look back and see Rider reading a book to Asher without being asked to do it.
Kelwin and I have gotten in touch with our younger selves before kids, houses, bills,etc.... We are having a blast being the hippy bus homeschool weirdos!
Being light and free has also brought a big change to our biz. We were in Portland, OR and thought it's time to get on the road and go then we looked at each other and said.."Go Where???" We had the big realization that we didn't have anywhere we needed to go. So we hung out. Met some great new people and business partners and we are getting a whole fantastic team in the Pacific Northwest and we can't wait to go back and
see them again...And we can whenever we want!!!
Life is good. Asher just asked where is Colorado? So look out if you are near there we may be showing up soon!
Be Free!
P.S. I used spell check this time.
