We rode from Boulder Beach on the side of Lake Mead on a trail that was an old train track that serviced Hoover Dam. It was really cool and had 5 tunnels that we got to ride through! Anyway we ended up at the Hoover Dam and that was really cool. The trail drops you off at the top of their massive parking lot so after riding about 4 miles we had to walk down about 5 stories in the parking lot and then down to the dam. Which wasn't so bad until we had to walk back up to the parking lot then up the 5 stories then ride the additional 4 miles back. It was great. The boys didn't complain. We have a chant as we ride up the hills..."All I need is within me now." then when it gets tougher..."All the strength I need is in me now." We keep on chanting and it does really help us get up the hills. Incredible how strong the mind is. We do now know we need to get the boys some gear bikes. I always feel bad when I pass them up still riding while their walking their bikes up a steep hill because I have low gears and they have none.

We see alot on our rides and were lucky enough to run into a family of Big Horn Sheep. If you look closely you can see them on top of the hill.
Well I really don't know how to work this thing. You'll have to tell me if the videos that are posted work. Who knows? Rider is turning into quite our documentarian. I'm going to teach him how to write this blog and let him do it. I'm sure he can figure out how to work the site much faster and easier than I! I'm starting to feel frustrated so I am going to keep it short tonight!
Hi Guys! Not sure if I am placing this message where it gets to you but I'll give it a try! I was just going through my Christmas card list updating addresses when I came across you guys and had a vague memory of you being on some extended travelling adventure. So, I went through my old emails and found the announcement from you and that brought me to your website. What a great family adventure! Traveling the United States in an RV is everybody's dream, but few of us manage to make it happen. Congrats to you guys for making it happen!! Love and well wishes, Sandy Haynes
